April 3, 2007 Aurora Japanese Language Scholarship Foundation 2nd Aurora Charity Golf Tournament Los Angeles, California – Aurora Japanese Language Scholarship Foundation announces its 2nd Charity Golf Tournament, Auction & Dinner which will be held at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine, CA on Monday, June 25, 2007. The Aurora Foundation was established in 1998 (Dr. Akiko Agishi, Founder and President) as a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization. Its mission promotes Japanese culture to mainstream Americans interested in Japanese Language and culture by providing them scholarships and grants through the Aurora Foundation’s Scholarship Programs. The foundation offers two scholarships and one grant for the US citizens every year to further their development and skills by traveling, learning and living in Japan. The scholarship recipients have been generating immeasurable goodwill for USA/Japan relations, and the Foundation believes that their efforts and accomplishments will continue to influence younger generations now and into the future. Net proceeds from this charity golf tournament fund the Aurora Japanese Language Scholarship, the Aurora Challenge Grant, the Aurora Speech Contest, and the Aurora Endowment Fund. The tournament format will be Double Peoria and there are many great prizes to award individual golfers as well. In addition to supporting the Foundation’s mission, it is a great opportunity to meet and exchange contacts with people from all over the Southern California and to show off your great golf skills! The Oak Creek Golf Club is designed by a famous golf course architect, Tom Fazio and has very good freeway access from the 405 and 5. The tournament Co-chairs are Mr. Tom Iino from Pacific Commerce Bank and Ms. Nancy Matsui from American Airlines. The scheduled award dinner MC is Mr. Rob Fukuzaki from ABC-7.
